Singer and songwriter of metal rock band Warrant, Jani Lane has been found dead in his hotel room. He was 47.

His lifeless body was found in Woodland Hills' Comfort inn motel, which is in close proximity of Los Angeles. So far, the authorities haven't made any statements about facts that lead to Lane's untimely death.

Lane's "Cherry Pie" was arguably his most successful song with Warrant and it drew a lot of attention for the band, thanks in part to its saucy visuals as well. Listen to it below:
