The B.E.P. performed a 15-minute concert on the stage of Super Bowl alongside Usher.
The Black Eyed Peas played up the futuristic motif - black and silver outfits that sparkled under dim lights. Fergie’s studded shoulder pads looked like something straight out of Star Trek: The Next Generation or the recent Tron: Legacy. Also, guest appearances by guitarist Slash and R&B-pop superstar Usher simply added to the bombast to the great crowd around them!
They performed as a medley style, with songs coming from the Peas. I Gotta Feeling merged into Boom Boom Pow. Pump It segued into Let’s Get It Started. At times, it was hard to keep track of the transitions, not only because the Peas’ swirl of electronic pop, hip-hop and dance is present in most of their hits, but also because the show moved fast and furious. They finished with Where Is The Love? single .
Usher, who glided down on a bungee cord, didn’t so much sing OMG as he danced it! And we loved taht, didn't we ?!
Guess in the end they did a pretty good job!
Super Bowl Bridgestone: The Black Eyed Peas and Usher performances at halftime:
As for the match score, seems like The Pittsburgh Steelers kept themselves in the 2011 Super Bowl with seconds to go in the first half, as Ben Roethlisberger dragged them downfield for an eight-yard touchdown pass to Hines Ward, cutting the Green Bay Packers’ lead the score to 21-10 at halftime.
