Pixar announced details of Dias De Los Muertos upcoming animation
In addition to Brave which goes out worlwide on June 22 and the upcoming "Monster's Inc." prequel, Monsters University (coming June 21), there's a new feature from director Bob Peterson (the co-director and writer of "Up").
Pixar Animation Studios recently announced details about the new projects. While at CinemaCon on Tuesday where the animation giant has announced it has tapped Toy Story 3, Lee Unkrich and producer Darla Anderson unveiled more details about a new film titled Dia De Los Muertos (the Mexican holiday which translates to Day Of The Dead), which develops a story about the celebration and honoring of the deceased. Little else is known about the film except its arrival time: Dia De Los Muertos (working title) is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015 (June).
In addition to Brave which goes out worlwide on June 22 and the upcoming "Monster's Inc." prequel, Monsters University (coming June 21), there's a new feature from director Bob Peterson (the co-director and writer of "Up"). That film is now called The Good Dinosaur and imagines a world where dinosaurs never became extinct. While first announced in August 2011, the film is scheduled for release on May 30, 2014.
We previously announced a film that was titled The Untitled Pixar Movie About Dinosaurs, Walt Disney Pictures animation chief John Lasseter Lasseter said. Now, I think this title rocks, but I am absolutely the only one at the studio. Sooooo, today we'd like to announce an even better title we've come up with for it - this is now going to be titled 'The Good Dinosaur'.
Additionally, there's "Up" director Pete Docter's anticipated follow-up to that Oscar-winning film.
