Leonardo DiCaprio throws 37th birthday party in New York

"J. Edgar" actor Leonardo DiCaprio turned 37 over the weekend (Friday, 11.11.11). He celebrated with a lavish party last Friday in a club on a New York City Avenue with many guests: his mother Irmelin, Russell Simmons (co-founder of Def Jam Records), fellow actor Bradley Cooper and couple of beautiful women including Victoria's Secret angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Ana Beatriz Barros.

"It was a very exclusive crowd," a source told, confirming to People that DiCaprio rented out the entire club. It was also reported that the proceeds of the party raised about $1.3 million, and were entirely donated for charity, including for several projects to relief Haiti. Leonardo's guests drank Cristal Champagne of $50,000 a bottle.

Robert De Niro, Ed Norton, Naomi Campbell, Kevin Connolly and Benicio del Toro attended the party, as well as Blake Lively's co-star in 'Gossip Girl', Chace Crawford joined the crowd.

Leonardo attended the afterparty of VS Fashion show at Dream Downtown, on November 9th where he set attention on Christian Dior model, Karlie Kloss.
