After decided to take a break from "Spring Breakers" in January, Emma Roberts has chosen to star in a heist drama instead. The "Scream 4" actress is set to star as Liam Hemsworth's love interest in true story movie "Empire State". According to Variety, Roberts' character works as a waitress. In addition to playing opposite Hemsworth, the niece of veteran actress Julia Roberts is set to join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Johnson will play a New York City Department detective who attempts to stop the heist in the film.

"Empire State" itself is based on true events that happened back in 1982. The story follows two childhood friends from Astoria, New York, who plan to rob an armored car depository.Emma has just started working on Scott Coffey's indie comedy "Adult World", with John Cusack, Evan Peters and Shannon Woodward.

Serving as director will be "The Son of No One" helmer, Dito Montiel, along with Adam Mazer which will be working to provide the screenplay. The filming has been scheduled to kick off this spring, but the release date still hasn't been announced.
