A British Airways flight attendant arrested due a mid-air bomb threat
Matthew Davis, 22, a British Airways flight attendant on the Tokyo to London flight was arrested on Friday after he alleged scared the 150 passengers on board with a bomb-threat, according to The Guardian. "The bomb on board will explode at 16:00 GMT unless our demands are met," he scrawled on the plane restroom's door. When landed, no explosives were found on board.
Davis was arrested when the Boeing 777 safely touched down at Heathrow airport on Sunday after its 7,000-mile journey.
The Metropolitan police said Davis, from Crawley, West Sussex, was charged with communicating a bomb threat. He is due to appear at Uxbridge magistrates court on 28 February, and he's also believed to have been suspended from his job by the airline.
