Originally selected as a sixth-round (187th overall) draft choice by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2005. Released by the Chiefs on August 30, 2008. Signed by Atlanta as a free agent on February 12, 2009.
2009 (FALCONS)
Saw action in 13 contests, starting in two. Started at left tackle at Carolina (11/15) and contributed to an offensive line that did not allow a sack on 41 pass attempts. Started at left tackle against Philadelphia (12/6) and blocked for a Falcons passing attack that registered 234 net yards.

Was release by Kansas City following training camp on August 30, 2008.
2007 (CHIEFS)
Played in 13 games on offense and special teams, making four starts. Blocked for Kansas City quarterback Damon Huard to throw for 2,257 yards and 11 touchdowns. Started his first career NFL contest for an injured OT Damion McIntosh at Denver (12/9).
2006 (CHIEFS)
Appeared in two games on special teams and one contest on offense. Part of an offensive line that paved the way for RB Larry Johnson to rush for 1,789 yards and 17 touchdowns.

COLLEGE
Played in 38 games at defensive end (18 starts) for Stanford and recorded 60 tackles (35 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception. Competed at tight end as a sophomore, including time at defensive end. Competed in nine games as a senior and recorded a career-high 30 tackles.
Personal
Attended Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, California and was a three-sport athlete. Registered 87 tackles, 9.0 sacks and five forced fumbles as a defensive end and caught 48 passes for 624 yards and four touchdowns as a senior tight end. Earned honorable mention All-America honors from USA Today as a senior. Named the California Division II Athlete of the Year by Cal-Hi Student Sports. Named all-county and All-CIF as a defensive end and second-team all-state honors at tight end. Was a two-time National Decathlon Champion. Traveled to the Middle East for the 2009 Super Bowl with the NFL in an effort to boost morale with the troops. Attended Harvard Business School in 2008 as part of the NFL Executive Education Program.
