Veronica Ballestrini life and biography

Veronica Ballestrini is an Italian-American country music singer and songwriter from Waterford, Connecticut.

Singer-songwriter Veronica Jean Ballestrini was born and raised in Waterford, Conn., and comes from a family of four brothers and one sister. She began playing piano and singing at age 6 and was soon performing around her hometown at fairs and talent contests. She became a songwriter at 11 and started playing guitar at 13. The winner of several national talent contests, Ballestrini launched her MySpace page in late 2005. Having only cover songs at the time, she still managed to begin building a devoted fan base. The interest she generated on the Internet eventually caught the attention of several Nashville record producers and labels. She was 15 when a visit to Nashville led to a recording session with several noted studio musicians. Ballestrini's MySpace page had attracted 120,000 friends while generating 7.5 million page views and 11.5 million plays of her music.

2009-2010: What I'm All About

Veronica signed with Timbob Records headed by Nashville producer/designer Glenn Sweitzer in 2009. Ballestrini went on to record her debut album "What I'm All About" which was released August 21, 2009. Her first single "Amazing" charted on the Music Row Country chart and the music video debuted at #3 on CMT Pure .

2010: If I Can Dream

In April 2010, Veronica was chosen as the "Editors Pick" in the If I Can Dream MySpace contest, created by Simon Fuller. She visited the Dream House in Beverly Hills from June 4-7, 2010. Veronica returned to the Dream House on June 23, 2010. During her stay she recorded a demo for her song "Fascinated" and developed a romantic relationship with Alex Lambert.

In October 2010, Veronica decided to make a web show on her youtube page to show her fans her music journey along the way.
