Veronica life and biography

Born in the U.K., Veronica(born Veronica Mehta) is a talented Asian female artist and successful singer and songwriter. Veronica’s career began at the young age of sixteen when she met producer Rishi Rich and recorded her first song with Kumar Sanu. In 2004 Veronica entered the world of Bollywood. She made her debut on the big screen in the Bollywood movie Kya Kool Hai Hum, performing the hit Dil Mera alongside artists Jay Sean and Juggy D. To date, the film’s soundtrack has sold over 18 million copies worldwide and reached a number 1 spot on virtually all the top Asian billboard charts.

In 2005 Veronica released her first debut album Theen, which went double platinum in India and shot to the top of the Asian album charts, making her the first ever Asian female to do so. Veronica sang in three different languages on the album, bringing her fans the perfect balance of East and West vibes. Veronica has gone on to lend her vocals to Bollywood soundtracks like “Toon Pur Ka Superhero” and "Hum Tum."Her success in music has not gone unnoticed by critics; Veronica has received a number of awards worldwide, including Best Female Act, Favorite Female Artist and Movie Box Best Female. Not only does she write her own music, but she has also penned smash hits for international artists like Jay Sean and Misteeq. Veronica dropped off the scene after her international success in 2005, but the songstress made a comeback in 2008 with her unique new tracks Soniya and Rush. In 2009 Veronica collaborated with H-Dhami on the hot track Ni Aaja Ve. In 2010 she released Disco Diwane, the first single off her upcoming album Rush which is set to release in July 2010.
