Paul Michael Levesque is an American professional wrestler, actor and WWE executive, better known by his ring name Triple H, an abbreviation of his former ring name, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He is the Senior Advisor to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and wrestles on the Raw brand.

Triple H started his career as Terra Ryzing. After a brief run in the indies, he made it to WCW. He did not wrestle much on TV and was only in one PPV match under his new gimmick, Jean Paul LeVesque. He signed with the WWF in spite of having to work more dates for less money.

In April 1995, he made his WWF debut as Hunter Hearst Helmsley. His gimmick was being a rich snob from Connecticut. He quickly developed a friendship with The Clique. He was part of the infamous MSG curtain call (broke kay-fabe by celebrating in the ring with his enemies Kevin Nash and Scott Hall). All the heat from the incident fell on him and he was punished by not winning the 1996 King of the Ring. In his place, Steve Austin won the tournament and made his infamous Austin 3:16 speech that night.

By the end of 1996, Triple H was the Intercontinental Champion. In 1997, he formed D-Generation X with Shawn Michaels and his eventual girlfriend Chyna. After Shawn retired, he became the leader of the group which now included Billy Gunn, the Road Dogg, and X-Pac. The group was known for their juvenile actions. Triple H suffered a knee injury in 1998 and when he returned, he left the group and joined the Corporation.

In the fall of 1999, Triple H became the WWE Champion. His first feud was with Vince McMahon and in a surprise move he married Stephanie McMahon. Their group ran roughshod over the WWE for several months. In 2001, he formed the two man power trip with Steve Austin. During a tag team match, he suffered a torn quad. Despite the pain, he continued the match. He had to miss nine months of action because of the injury.

He returned to the ring at the Royal Rumble and won the WWE title from Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 18. A few months later, the brand split occurred and he was crowned the first World Heavyweight Champion. On October 25, 2003, he married Stephanie McMahon in real life.

In January 2003, Triple H led a new group called Evolution. The other members were Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton. The group controlled RAW for almost two years before Triple H had turned on all its members one by one. In 2004, he wrote a fitness book called Making the Game. In 2006, Triple H reunited with Shawn Michaels as D-Generation X and their first feud was with Vince McMahon.
