Travis LaBoy life and biography

A Bay Area native, Travis LaBoy has been a valuable pass rusher coming off the edge throughout his career, totaling 23.5 sacks. He joins his hometown team after spending 2008 with the Arizona Cardinals following a stint with the Tennesse Titans.

GOLDMINE:
•Started the Travis LaBoy Foundation for Supporting Autistic Causes and Kids (S.A.C.K.) which supports a combination of educational, recreational and physical activities designed to support children with autism and families of children with autism.
•Travis and his older brother, C.J., grew up together, playing football on the same team, but since then, they have joined on the business side of the game. In 2006, C.J. became a sports agent with Octagon Sports and Enter­tainment and one of his first clients was Travis.

2006 (Tennessee):
•Posted 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL at Mia. (9/24).
•Recorded 7 tackles and 1 sack that resulted in 1 FF vs. Hou. (10/29).

2005 (Tennessee):
•Posted a career-high 64 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
•Registered a career-high 9 tackles to go along with 1 sack vs. Sea. (12/18).

2004 (Tennessee):
•Played in 13 games (2 starts) as a rookie, totaling 34 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 TFL and 1 FR after a concussion forced him to miss all of preseason and the first three games of the regular season.
•Recorded season-high 7 tackles, including first two career sacks at Min. (10/24).
•Made first start at defensive end and totaled 3 tackles and 0.5 sack vs. Cin. (10/31).

COLLEGE

•In three seasons (34 games) at Hawaii, recorded 193 tackles with 24 sacks, 50 TFLs, 46 QB pressures, 3 FRs, 5 FFs, 6 PDs, and 2 INTs in 34 games. As a senior, earned first-team All-WAC honors, named Defensive POY, and was recipient of team’s Alex Waterhouse MVP Award after starting 13 games at DE, posting 76 tackles, 2 INTs and a conference-high 13 sacks. As a junior, saw action in 12 games and finished with 65 tackles and 7 sacks. As a sopohomore, earned second-team All-WAC honors, playing in 9 games (6 starts) recording 52 tackles and 4 sacks.

PERSONAL

•Attended Marin Catholic HS in San Rafael, CA,, lettering in football, basket­ball and track. Named all-state, all-league and all-conference first-team choice as a senior, leading team to state title and league titles as a junior and sophomore.
•Spends time volunteering with his father’s, Cliff, non-profit organization, Ho’olauna, which tutors children.
•His father was a standout lineman for the Hawaii football program, earning Associated Press honorable mention All-America honors in 1974. He was a teammate of former Hawaii and Atlanta Falcons head coach June Jones.
•Older brother, C.J., transfered from Riverside Junior College and went to St. Mary’s College where he made the 2002 first-team All Independent All-Star team.
•Married to wife, Nohealani. The couple have two sons, Koby and Koa.
