Tracy White life and biography

Tracy White is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2003. He played college football at Howard.

* Began the season playing primarily on special teams but due to injuries also started two games at linebacker.

* In his first NFL start at Arizona (10/24), had a career-high 13 tackles and registered his one career NFL sack.

COLLEGE

* Started 44 games at Howard, leading the team in tackles all four years and becoming the school's all-time leader in career tackles with 500.

* A three-time All-MEAC selection and two-time finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the top defensive player in Division I-AA.

* Played linebacker and was the kicker at Timberland High School in St. Stephen, S.C. where he also wrestled and competed in track and field.
* been working to help build a "Hope Center" in his hometown of St. Stephen, SC. The building and program is being designed to provide activities for the youth in the area such as football, swimming and basketball.

EXTRA

* Draws inspiration from his father, Emanuel, who was rendered legally blind from a brain tumor he suffered over 20 years ago. Tracy and Emanuel enjoy playing the card game spades together and talking about the NFL.
