Shu-Aib Walters (born December 26, 1981 in Cape Town, Western Cape) is a South African soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Maritzburg United in the Premier Soccer League.

Walters, who is one of the few Muslim players in the PSL, hails from Mowbray. He is remembered by the Maritzburg United fans for a spectacular save he pulled against Orlando Pirates striker Siphelele Mthembu at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

This Cape Town-born keeper has not enjoyed the best of World Cup seasons, forced out of the Bloemfontein Celtic line-up by injury, unable to get back in and loaned out in December to Maritzburg United. In normal circumstances he would not have made the cut for the final 23-man South African squad, but injuries to Emille Barron and Rowen Fernandez unblocked his path and those who know him well praise him for his total dedication and note that his self-belief has improved immeasurably in the past couple of years. In the 2005-06 season, he was between the posts for Rio de Janeiro side Vasco da Gama, so he has certainly experienced football in a variety of settings. While it seems improbable that he will see too much action on home soil this summer, his experience is a useful commodity to have in reserve.
