Seann William Scott is an American actor and comedian, best known for his portrayal of Steve Stifler in the popular American Pie series of teen sex comedy films. Over the years, he has also made a mark with memorable roles in films such as Final Destination, Road Trip, Dude, Where's My Car?, Evolution, The Rundown, The Dukes of Hazzard, Role Models, and Cop Out.
Early Career and Breakthrough
Scott first gained commercial success with his iconic role as Steve Stifler in American Pie (1999), a character he reprised in the sequels American Pie 2 (2001) and American Wedding (2003). Remarkably, for his supporting role in the first film, Scott was reportedly paid only $8,000. Despite the risk of being typecast due to the popularity of the "Stifler" character, Scott diversified his roles, portraying a variety of comedic characters in his early career. He appeared as a hapless nerd in Final Destination and a harmless stoner in Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), alongside Ashton Kutcher.

Transition to More Serious Roles
After years of comedic success, Scott sought to transition into more serious roles. In 2015, he starred as Ted Morgan in the comedy-drama Just Before I Go, marking a departure from his usual comedic characters. In this film, he portrayed a relatable and average man going through a difficult time, a role Scott found rewarding for its contrast to his past work. Seann William Scott is known for keeping his personal life private. He dated Victoria's Secret model Deanna Miller from 2005 to 2008. In 2012, he became engaged to fashion model Lindsay Frimodt, but the engagement ended amicably in early 2013.
In September 2019, Scott married interior designer Olivia Korenberg. The couple welcomed a daughter in June 2020. However, in February 2024, Scott filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences," and requested joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.
