He acted as a child artist in his father's blockbuster Chinna Thambi in 1991. Sixteen years later, he debuted in the film Thottal Poo Malarum as a lead actor, again under his father's direction. He acted in the films Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar and Ninaithale Inikkum along with three other films that were subsequently announced.
He is currently acting in several films including Aattanayagan, Vanjikottai Vaaliban, Aetho Saithai Ennai and Kallachiripazhaga.
He is engaged to Smrithi, a B.Com graduate from Stella Maris College, Chennai.The engagment ceremony was held at a star hotel in Chennai on June 5th 2011. And the wedding is to take place on the 31st of October 2011, in Mayor Ramanathan Hall in Chennai.
