Rasual Butler is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the NBA's Chicago Bulls.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in the Point Breeze area of south Philadelphia. After a career at La Salle University, Butler was a second round draft choice of the Miami Heat in the 2002 NBA Draft. After three seasons, he was traded to the New Orleans Hornets as part of the largest trade in NBA history. The 4 team trade involved the Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and Utah Jazz, and featured thirteen players, most notably Eddie Jones, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams and James Posey.
