Paul Wesley life and biography

Paul Thomas Wasilewski , known professionally as Paul Wesley, is an American actor. Best known for his roles as Stefan Salvatore in The CW TV series The Vampire Diaries and as Aaron Corbett in the ABC Family miniseries Fallen.

Paul grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey. He has 3 sisters Monika, Julia and Leah. His parents Agnieszka and Thomas moved to America from Poland right before Paul was born. Paul speaks fluent Polish and has visited Poland every year up until the age of 16.

Paul went to Christian Brothers Academy for most of his school. Though, he did attend Marlboro High School during part of his high school years. While he was in his junior year of high school, Paul was cast in a soap opera The Guiding Light. He eventually had to switch to Lakewood Prep School in Howell, New Jersey because they could accommodate his busy acting schedule. After he graduated, Paul attended Rutgers University. He left after one semester with his parents support after his acting career started to take off. In 2005, Paul officially changed his name to Paul Wesley stating that his original last name was too hard for people to pronounce.

In 1999, he was cast in The guiding Light and Another World. Since then, Paul has been in a number of television series such as Law & Order, American Dreams, Smallville, The O.C., 8 Simple Rules, Everwood, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Cane and Army Wives just to name a few. He has been getting the most attention as the vampire Stefan in the hugely popular TV series on the CW Network. The Vampire Diaries. This show is based on the teen books by author L. J. Smith.

Paul has also been cast in many T.V. movies. In 2005 he was in the television movie Shot in the Heart and Young Arthur. Paul also starred as himself in the television movie The Edge. Other television movie roles were Fallen 2006 and The Russell Girl 2008. In 2004, Paul started to get more film roles. He starred in the following The Last Run 2004 and Roll Bounce in 2005. In 2006, he appeared in Cloud 9, Peaceful Warrior and Lenexa, 1 Mile. In 2008, he was in Killer Movie and in 2009, he appeared in the films Elsewhere and Beneath The Blue.

Paul Wesley is very athletic and enjoys playing ice hockey and snowboarding. He hopes to one day write and direct.
Paul Wesley married long term girlfriend and Pretty Little Liars star Torrey DeVitto in April 2011.
