Paul J. Oliver (born March 30, 1984 in Kennesaw, Georgia) is an American football safety who currently plays for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.

The player who teammates refer to as "P.O." may as well be known as "B.P." for his knack for making big plays. Despite taking the unconventional route and joining the Chargers via the NFL’s supplemental draft, Oliver has been a big playmaker in his first three NFL seasons, while making the difficult transition from corner to safety. In 2008, Oliver had his first-career interception during the Chargers’ AFC West-clinching win over Denver. And in '09 he was a thorn in the side of the Kansas City Chiefs. He intercepted Matt Cassel during the team’s first meeting at Kansas City and returned it to the 2, and then a month later returned a Cassel fumble 40 yards for a touchdown and a 28-7 lead during the second meeting in San Diego.

Oliver, who left school early to pursue his dreams of an NFL career, is continuing his education at Georgia as he works toward his degree in consumer economics.
