Mickey Jr. is a second generation Nittany Lion, his father played tight end from 1975-1977 before heading to the NFL where he played 13 seasons with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles ... Started 13-of-41 games at Penn State ... During his career the Nittany Lions were 14-3 in games where Shuler recorded a reception ... Set a career-high with 2 TDs during his senior season to go along with 11 receptions and 89 receiving yards ... Played in 13 games for the 3rd straight season including a Capital One Bowl victory over LSU ... Shuler’s blocking and receiving helped lead Penn State to the NCAAs 14th ranked offense in 2008 ... As a junior he started in a career-high 6 of the 13 games in which he saw playing time, including the Rose Bowl versus USC ...
