Throughout the 2009 season, Mi­chael Crabtree consistently showed why he was chosen by San Francisco as the 10th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Possessing a rare combination of size and run-after-the-catch ability, Crabtree im­mediately settled into the 49ers receiving corps. After missing the first five games of the season during a contract impass, Crabtree went on to catch at least three passes in every single game played.

Originally drafted in the 1st-round (10th overall) by SF in 2009.

•A nationally-ranked basketball player at Carter HS. Michael was rated among the top 50 prospects in Texas and received several scholarship offers from major colleges.

•Finished the regular season ranked 1st among all NFL rookies with 56.8 rec. yds./game.
•Ranked t-4th in franchise history with 48 recepts. and 625 rec. yds. among all 49ers rookies.

COLLEGE:

•As college football’s most productive receiver over his final two seasons, was twice honored as the Fred Biletnikoff Award recipient, becoming the first ever first-year player to receive the award, in 2007. The two-time All-America and Big 12 selection finished his two-year Texas Tech career with 3,127 receiving yds., breaking the previous team record of 3,069 yds. set by Wes Welker.
•Became only the 7th player in conference history to gain over 3,000 career yards. Ranked 5th in NCAA history in career receiving avg. (120.3) and 6th in career TD recepts. (41), shattering the previous school record (30). His 231 career recepts. and 41 career TDs, which came in 2007-08, set NCAA records for catches and TDs in a two-year span.
•A model of consistency, put together a string of 13 consecutive games with at least one TD and 5 receptions, tying an NCAA record. In 2008, regis­tered 1,165 yds. receiving (97 recepts.) and 19 TDs. Set school, conference and NCAA freshman single-season records with 134 recepts. for 1,962 yds. (14.6 avg) and 22 TDs, in 2007. His receiving yardage total that year is 3rd-best in NCAA history. Redshirted as a true freshman.
