Matt Kroul life and biography

Matt Kroul is an American football defensive tackle for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He played college football at Iowa. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jets in May 2009. He was waived in September, but was added to the practice squad. He made the Jets 53-man roster in 2010.

BEFORE THE NFL

◊ Named an Elite and first-team all-state selection by the Des Moines Register as a senior at Mount Vernon (IA) HS...First-team all-state as a junior and second team as a sophomore...Three-time first-team all-conference selection...Recorded 335 tackles (212 solo), seven tackles-for-loss, three interceptions and three blocked kicks...Coached by Jim Bellamy.
◊ Totaled 2,019 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns as a running back in two seasons.
