Kraig Urbik is an American football offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

Claimed off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 5, 2010… entered the NFL as a third-round (79th overall) pick by Pittsburgh in 2009.

COLLEGE:
Started 50 games at Wisconsin, lining up at right guard in 34 games and at right tackles 16 times… in 2005, he became the first Badger freshman to start at offensive tackle since former All-American Chris McIntosh in 1996… registered 45 touchdown-resulting blocks and 325 knockdowns.. tallied 176 knockdowns, 15 downfield blocks and 26 touchdown-resulting blocks on a total of 1,641 offensive plays in his final two years… during that span, he allowed only three quarterback sacks and two pressures… majored in biology.

2008:
All-American fourth-team selection by Phil Steele’s College Football Magazine and All-Big Ten Conference first-team choice by Athlon Sports, Lindy’s and Blue Ribbon College Yearbook… started 11 contests at right guard, allowing just one quarterback sack and one pressure

2007:
Earned All-American third-team and All-Big Ten Conference first-team honors from The NFL Draft Report, adding second-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches and media… started the team’s first 10 games at right offensive guard before shifting to right tackle for the final three contests… played a major in helping the offense rank second in the conference and 21st in the nation in rushing, averaging 200.8 yards per game

2006:
Made the transition to right offensive guard in preseason drills, starting all 14 games… member of a line that helped Wisconsin post a 211.5 yard passing average and 161.2 rushing yards per game

2005: Second-team Freshman All-American selection by The Sporting News and Rivals.com

Attended Hudson (Hudson, WI) High School where he was named to Prep Star’s All-American team and was rated one of the top 55 players in the Midwest, according to Super Prep, as a senior… rated the third best player in Wisconsin by Rivals.com, earning first-team All-State honors from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a senior… team captain and MVP… first-team All-Conference selection while starting every game as a junior and senior… lettered in basketball and track, in addition to playing football… as a senior, placed fifth in shot put at Division I state meet.
