CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

* Has played in 18 games with 5 starts…Two-year totals include 82 tackles (53 solo), 3 interceptions, 9 passes defensed and 5 special teams tackles.

* Made his 1st career start at safety at Philadelphia (11/9) and finished 2nd on the team with 6 tackles (5 solo) and 1 QB hurry…Started and had 2 solo tackles vs. Baltimore (11/16)…Posted 8 tackles (7 solo) at Arizona (11/23), where had added 2 QB hits and 3 passes defensed…Started vs. Philadelphia (12/7) as the Giants defense opened the game in a dime package and finished with 8 tackles (4 solo) and 1 pass defensed.

COLLEGE

* Phillips played in 34 games with 33 starts at Miami before entering the NFL Draft following his junior season. He registered 203 tackles (133 solos), 15 stops for losses of 31 yards, 1 fumble recovery and 3 forced fumbles. He had 7 interceptions and 13 pass deflections.
* Intercepted 3 passes vs. Duke in 2006 to become the 1st Hurricane with 3 picks in a game since Bobby Harden (vs. Brigham Young) in 1988.

* Joins with Terrell Thomas each year to identify and host a youth group for a night out during the holidays – providing gifts and a memorable experience for the group.

* Attended Carroll High School in Miami, where he was rated the best safety in the country, earning USA Today Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior free safety….Phillips was a member of the Parade All-America, Prep Star Top 100 Dream Team and the USA Today All-USA High School Football team and was rated the nation's best safety prospect and 12th-best player regardless of position by Rivals.com
* Intercepted 16 passes during his career and as a senior, he finished with 84 tackles, 6 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, 4 defensive touchdowns and 3 punt returns for touchdowns. As a junior, he delivered 54 tackles and 7 interceptions, returning 2 of them for touchdowns, including a 100-yarder. In his sophomore season, he intercepted 3 passes and also competed in basketball and track.
