Kareem Moore life and biography

Kareem Moore is an American football safety for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.

Moore has emerged as an up-and-coming safety with a penchant for big hits. He played in 30 career games, with two starts, and posted 22 tackles and one interception He has also amassed 41 special teams tackles in his young career. At Nicholls State, he started in 25-of-39 games during his college career, recording 181 tackles (114 solo), five interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

* Made his NFL debut against the Arizona Cardinals on September 21, 2008.

* Played in 14 regular season games with one start (at San Francisco, 12/28) and was inactive for two additional contests (at NYG, 9/4 and vs. New Orleans, 9/14) with a left hamstring strain
* Tied for third on the team with 21 special teams tackles
* Finished the season with five tackles
* Had one tackle and a career-best and team-high six special teams tackles at Dallas (9/28), limiting Felix Jones to an average of 13.5 yards on four kickoff returns after Jones entered the game with the second-best kickoff return average in the NFL (35.1 avg.)

* Named Associated Press FCS All-American second-team as a senior in 2007

* Played in 11 games as a redshirt freshman at Mississippi (2004) before transferring to Itawama Community College and earning JUCO All-American status as a defensive back (2005)

* Played only one season (2002, senior) of football at Okolona High School in Okolona, Miss.
* Selected to the Class 2A Super 24 team, Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal All-Area team, Rivals.com Mississippi Top 30 list and named Best Defensive Back in Region 1-2A
* Recorded 30 tackles and seven interceptions with three punt returns for touchdowns and earned a selection in the 2003 Bernard Classic, the Mississippi High School All-Star Game
* Lettered three times in basketball and twice in track

* Majored in psychology at Nicholls State
* Helped local children pick out clothes during the Jason Taylor Foundation’s “Cool Gear for the School Year,” shopping program which treated 50 kids to a $300 shopping spree at Old Navy
