Josh Powell is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Atlanta Hawks. Signed by the Hawks as a free agent on July 26, 2010 .

• Traded from Dallas to Indiana on July 23, 2006, along with Darrell Armstrong and Rawle Marshall, in exchange for Anthony Johnson
• Signed with the Dallas Mavericks on August 2, 2005 after going undrafted as an early-entry candidate in 2003

Spent two years at North Carolina State, where he averaged 12.4 ppg and 5.3 rpg in 31 games his sophomore season, and was named the team’s most improved player as the recipient of the Tom Gugliotta Award
• Ranked seventh in the ACC in blocks (1.3), 20th in scoring and 18th in rebounding
• Named to the All-ACC Tournament first team after putting up 20.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 3.0 bpg in three contests, including a career-best 26-point effort in the championship game vs. Duke
• In his freshman campaign, recorded 7.2 ppg and 3.9 rpg en route to earning a spot on the ACC All-Rookie squad.
