Jon McKain life and biography

Jonathan "Jon" McKain, born 21 September 1982 is an Australian football player, who currently plays for Wellington Phoenix in Australian A-League. He is generally a defender but can also play as midfielder.

He joined FC Politehnica Timișoara in the summer of 2005, from fellow Divizia A Romania side FC Naţional Bucureşti. He has also played for the Brisbane Strikers in Australia. While playing for FC Timișoara, after great performances, Werder Bremen wanted to buy him, but he was injured at the time and negotiations were broken.

McKain signed for the Wellington Phoenix for the 2008-2009 A-League season.
He has represented Australia and made three appearances at the 2005 Confederations Cup in Germany.
He also represented Australia at the 2004 Olympics.
