Full name is John Harding Lucas III…answers to the nicknames “Lil Luke”, “J LU”, “John John” and “Indy 500”, all of which came from friends and family…was raised in Houston, TX…parents are John and DeEdgra Lucas…his father, John Jr., was an All-American at Maryland and was the first pick of the 1976 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets…his father played 14 seasons in the NBA with Houston, Golden State, Washington, San Antonio, Milwaukee and Seattle and later served as head coach in San Antonio (1992-94), Philadelphia (1994-96) and Cleveland (2001-03)…his father is currently an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers…lists his father as the person that made a difference in his life because he taught him how to be a man and how to never give up even when times are hard…has one younger brother (Jai) and a sister (Tarvia)…his brother Jai plays basketball at the University of Texas... his most prized possession is a pair of signed Michael Jordan game worn shoes that he wore against his father’s team…lists Entourage, Family Guy, House and Martin as his favorite television shows and Scarface, Paid in Full, Above the Rim, The Last Dragon, Boyz n the Hood and Hoosiers as his favorite movies…enjoys listening to rap and R&B and lists Jay-Z as his favorite musical artist…chose Houston’s as his favorite restaurant and fried chicken as his favorite food…lists the Bahamas as the best place he has visited .
