Joey Galloway life and biography

A veteran of 15 NFL seasons, Galloway has played in 188 games, with 171 starts, and has amassed 689 receptions for 10,777 yards and 77 touchdowns. Those totals rank 31st, 26th, and 23rd, respectively, in NFL history. Included in his receiving yardage total are six seasons of at least 1,000 yards, most recently in 2007 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That capped a three-year stretch in which Galloway accumulated 202 catches for 3,358 yards and 23 touchdowns.

2000 (Dallas)

* Finished his college career second in Ohio State history in touchdown receptions with 19 – trailing only WR Cris Carter’s 27 – and had two games with three touchdowns.
* Finished fourth in both career receptions (108) and receiving yards (1,894).
* Also added 20 kickoff returns for a 25.0-yard average and one score and 34 punt returns for a 7.8 averaged.
* Earned First-Team All-Big Ten Conference honors as a junior and Second-Team accolades as a senior while leading the team in receiving both years.
* As a senior, recorded 44 receptions for 669 yards and seven touchdowns.
* Also returned 18 kickoffs for 462 yards (25.7 avg.) and one touchdown and returned 16 punts for a 10.6 average.
* Finished his senior season catching eight passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the Citrus Bowl against Alabama, including a career-best 69-yard reception.
* As a junior, caught 47 passes for 946 yards and a school-record equaling (Carter – 1986) 11 touchdowns.

* Joseph Scott Galloway was born on November 20, 1971 in Bellaire, Ohio.
* Caught 32 passes for 608 yards and eight touchdowns, averaged 26.9 yards on kickoff returns and 15.2 on punt returns as a senior at Bellaire (Ohio) High School.
* Was also an All-Ohio choice in basketball and lettered in track.
* In 2003, started the Joey Galloway Family Foundation to help provide opportunities for less fortunate families and children.
* Part owner of the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League and has served as a studio analyst for NBC Sports coverage of the Arena Football League.
* In 2007, opened his first smoothie store, “Smoothie Junction”, in Clearwater, Fla.
* Added a second store in Tampa in 2008 and plans on opening several other stores around the Tampa Bay Area.
* Flew in an F/A – 18 Hornet fighter jet with the Blue Angels of the United States Navy in March 2007.
