Jared Dudley is an American professional basketball player. He is a reserve forward for the NBA's Phoenix Suns. During his college years he played with the Boston College Eagles. Along with fellow senior Sean Marshall, he was one of the team's two captains, and was the leading scorer and rebounder on the team during his final season. Dudley was a four-year starter for the Eagles, and played in every BC game in his first three years. He had a streak of over 100 consecutive starts snapped when he suffered a stress fracture in December 2006. In his college days he earned the nickname "Junkyard Dog" for his toughness and nose for the ball.

2009-10:

Established himself as one of the team’s best defenders and one of the league’s premier three-point shooters… Averaged a career-high 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, career-high 1.4 assists and a career-best 24.3 minutes in a career-high 82 games in his first full season in Phoenix… One of only two Suns to appear in every game… Shot a career-high and team-leading 45.9 percent from three-point range, fourth-best in the NBA… Made a career-high 120 three pointers after entering the season with 38 threes made in his first two career seasons combined… 116 of those threes made came as a reserve, third-most off the bench in the NBA behind only Jamal Crawford and J.R. Smith… Since joining the Suns in Dec. 2008 (130 games), is 146-of-328 (.445) from three-point range compared to 12-of-49 (.245) in his first season-plus in Charlotte (93 games)… Made at least one three-pointer in a career-high 17-straight games ending Dec. 23 vs. Oklahoma City, then followed that up with a 14-game streak ending April 9 at Oklahoma City… Improved shooting led to a single-season career-high nine efforts of 15 or more points, surpassing his total from his first two seasons combined… 13 of his 18 career scoring efforts of 15 or more have come since joining the Suns… Nine games of 17 or more points in 2009-10 after entering the season with three such games in his career… Overall, scored in double figures 30 times, including one 20-point effort, the first of his career on April 2 at Detroit… In that game, scored 20 points on a career-high six three-pointers, the 18th reserve to make six or more threes off the bench in 2009-10 and third Sun (Dragic, Frye)… Two double-doubles, and now has three as a Sun and seven for his career… First double-double of the season came Jan. 26 vs. Charlotte, his former team, in his first start as a Sun when he scored 18 points and grabbed a then season-high 10 rebounds… Second double-double came March 6 vs. Indiana with 11 points and a season-high 12 rebounds… Led the Suns with a career-high 81 steals and led or shared the Phoenix lead in steals on 28 occasions…. Winner of the 2009-10 Dan Majerle Hustle Award, presented to the Suns player who most personified the qualities of the Ring of Honor member... In the 2010 Playoffs, averaged 7.6 ppg and 3.8 rpg in 16 games.

2008-09

Acquired with Jason Richardson from Charlotte on December 10, 2008, appeared in 48 games with Phoenix where he averaged 5.5 ppg and three boards in 15.2 mpg... Collected a career-high six assists vs. Washington (3/21/09)... Set season bests with 17 points, 11 rebounds and seven field goals at Sacramento (3/29/09)... Tallied 11 double-digit scoring efforts after the All-Star break, including seven in his final 11 games... Averaged 10.9 ppg and 46-percent shooting in his last 10 games of the season... Scored nine or more points in five-straight games, the longest stretch of his career... Saw action in 20-straight games... In 23 minutes against Oklahoma City on March 14, 2009, scored nine points, grabbed a team-high nine boards, collected two steals and a block...

2007-08

Appeared in 73 games in his rookie season, after being selected with the 22nd overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Bobcats.
