Scott was born in Nashville, Tennessee to country music artist Linda Davis and musician/producer/entrepreneur Lang Scott. Growing up, she despised being a musician, as it entailed being away from home for long periods of time. Her first performance was during her junior year in high school, when she joined Davis on stage for a family Christmas show at Opryland. Following the show, she was convinced to pursue a musical career.
Scott attended high school at Donelson Christian Academy and graduated in 2004.
