Grant Hill is an American basketball player which is now playing as Forward for the Phoenix Suns of the NBA.

Full name Grant Henry Hill; born October 5, 1972, in Dallas, TX; son of Calvin (a retired professional football player) and Janet (an attorney and consultant) Hill; married Tamia (a jazz singer), 1999. Education: Duke University, B.A., 1994.

CAREER:

Member of Duke University Blue Devils basketball team, 1990-94, making appearances in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) finals in 1991, 1992, and 1994. Professional basketball player, 1994--. Selected by Detroit Pistons third overall in first round of 1994 National Basketball Association draft.

2009-10:
In his 16th NBA season and his third in Phoenix, continued to prove doubters wrong with his durability and production at the age of 37… A season after playing in all 82 contests, saw action in 81 games, 80 or more in two-straight campaigns for the first time since 1995-96 to 1997-98… Became the 11th player in NBA history to play in 80 or more games in multiple seasons after the age of 36... The only Phoenix player to appear in all 82 games, also marked his second-straight season playing in at least 68 games with the Suns, after not doing so previously since 1999-2000... Played 2,000 minutes in three straight seasons for the first time since his first four years in the league (1994-98)... Started 34 consecutive games to start the season -- the longest streak of starts to begin a season for Hill since 1999-2000 when he started the first 39 games of the season... Shot better than 50 percent from the field for the third time in the last four seasons... Following the midseason acquisition of Shaquille O'Neal, raised his rebounding average to six per game... Had five double-digit rebounding efforts, all after the trade... On March 22 vs. Houston, recorded 10 assists -- his first double-digit assist effort since Oct. 31, 2000 in his first game as a member of the Orlando Magic... Missed his fewest games since the 1999-2000 season.... In the NBA Playoffs, averaged 3.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg and one assist in three games, before injury forced him out of the lineup... Signed by the Suns on July 11, 2007.

2006-07:
In his 13th NBA season, averaged 14.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.1 apg and 30.9 mpg in 65 games with the Orlando Magic. Shot a career-best 52 percent from the floor... Led (or tied) the team in scoring 17 times, in rebounding once and in assists eight times... Scored in double figures 50 times, 20-plus points eight times, including a season-high vs. Philadelphia on November 3... Became the 187th player in NBA history to surpass 12,000 career points at Indiana on December 6... Grabbed a season-high eight boards at Phoenix on January 13 and vs. Milwaukee on November 20.
