Elisabetta Canalis life and biography

Elisabetta Canalis is famous Italian model, film and television actress.

Elisabetta was born to Cesare, an Italian literature teacher and father Bruna, a radiologist in Sassari's University clinic. Elisabetta has a brother named Luigi. Soon after finishing her high school studies at Azuni' Classical High School in Sassari, Elisabetta Canalis went to Milan to study foreign languages at Universita Statale. While in Milan, Elisabetta Canalis auditioned for the role in one of the most popular television shows Striscia la notizia in 1999 and had bagged the role of 'Velina', a show girl. Elisabetta has appeared for three seasons on the show until 2002 and became a household name in Italy.

She has since appeared in several television shows, series, and films. Elisabetta hosted sports show on Controcampo presenting and commenting upon the Italian soccer championships from 2000-2005. She has also presented a dogs show on Stelle a quattro zampe and appeared in several comic sketches. Elisabetta has had a starring role on Carabinieri [2003] and on Love Bugs [2005], the comedy sitcom. Elisabetta Canalis has also acted in Deuce Bigelow 2 - The European Gigolo [2004], Decameron. Angels & Virgins [2005], Natale a New York [2006] and an upcoming film Fidanzata di papa, La: Girlfriend of dad to be released in later part of 2008.

Elisabetta's modeling portfolio is as famous as her film and television repertoire. She has been the celebrity endorser of renowned brands such as 'Loveable brand of glasses'; Fresh Look colored contact lens of Ciba Vision; famous Italian brand of bags and fashion accessories of Italian brand 'Segue', a Florence firm; and an Anglo-Indian John Richmond brand of underwear, beachwear and glasses.
Elisabetta Canalis is an avid sportswoman, who specially loves swimming, kickboxing, horse riding and dancing. But since childhood horses have always fascinated this beautiful lady and she dreamt of owning up a horse stable or running a horse riding school.

Elisabetta Canalis has been romantically involved with Reginaldo of Parma Football Club. She has had high profile relationship for four years from 2000-2004 with the football striker, Christian Vieri who currently plays for Atlanta.
