Elijah Johnson is an American basketball player - guard for the Kansas Jayhawks of the NBA.

An explosive guard who can play either one or two guard spots... Showed some signs of future playing time earning two starts as a freshman... Can get to the basket, yet has solid range from beyond the arc.

Appeared in 23 games with two starts... Averaged 6.6 minutes, 2.4 points and 1.3 assists his first season... Shot 55.3 percent from the field going 21-for-38 for the season... Had seven games with 10-plus minutes... Pulled down three or more rebounds in three contests and averaged 1.0 rpg... Had six games where he shot 66.7 percent or better... In his first start, scored a season-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting against Radford (12/9)... Also started the game following Radford against LaSalle (12/12)... As a junior, averaged 15.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 8.9 assists in guiding Cheyenne High to the Nevada state championship game where it fell to Reno... Scored 26 points in the first quarter of his first game his junior season... Coached by Teral Fair and Bruce Gator while at Cheyenne...
