In addition to acting, Bell has a growing career as a musician, and co-wrote and performed the theme song to Drake & Josh, entitled "Found a Way". In 2005 he independently released his debut album, Telegraph. His second album, It's Only Time, was released in 2006 after signing with Universal Motown.
With the indie release Telegraph and his first major release, It's Only Time (Universal Motown 2006), Bell found himself maturing, both lyrically and musically, in part to a hectic touring schedule, including Mexico, where It's Only Time and the single, "I Know," both topped the charts. Over the last several years, Bell has gone on the road with both Ally & AJ and Corbin Bleu, regularly playing 3,000-seat venues and now plans to hit the international touring circuit.
Since 2009, Bell has also supported The Thirst Project, a non-profit organization that exists to raise awareness of and bring solutions to the clean water crisis globally through educational outreach and fundraising initiatives. In 2010, Bell received their Pioneering Spirit Award.
Bell was born and raised in Santa Ana, California, the son of Robin Dodson, a professional pool player, and Joe Bell. He has three older brothers, Joey, Robert and Travis, and one older sister, Kellie. His cousin is San Diego Padres closer Heath Bell.
