DJ Layla life and biography

Natalia Ostasina known as Dj Layla was born on 1st of May 1990 in Chisinau, Rep. Moldova. A big part from her childhood she spent in Ukraine.

She discovered something special about music since she was a child, while passing, after classes, at the University where her mother was teaching, discovering, by that way everything related to the music. Then, when she was 10, she moved with her mother to Romania, in Braila, where she continued her studies, until graduating high school. During those years, in the 10th grade, she started canto classes, with one of her mother’s friend, who was teaching at the Popular School of Arts, section canto, and then she started taking music lessons from her own mom. She participated at various national music contests, and then she concluded that she wants more. In 2007, she gained the 2nd award at the International music contest – "Zorepad" in Ukraine. After graduating high school, she moved to Bucharest, after being admitted at the Faculty of Business Administration (with teaching in English) within The Academy of Economic Studies, faculty at which she wanted to become a member even before the 11th grade. So, she wanted to amalgamate two of her biggest passions: music and economy. In 2008, in her first year of being in Bucharest, she participated at the casting for a new and original project, consisting of two girls: one voice and one DJ, organized by Radu Sirbu, at his own artistic center Fame Music&Dance. She passed the casting, being selected as the voice of the first single Dj Layla, and so…had came the time for he dreams to be heard. In a very short period has started the project Dj Layla&Alissa, the first project of this type in Romania, with the song "Single lady" which became a hit in some weeks, being at a high position in all the tops. As hobbies, she can enumerate music, painting, traveling, reading, and of course…shopping, as this is the favorite activity of almost every girl. She is a romantic, pretty little girl, in love with the music, nature, which gives her happiness and tranquility.
