Dina Meyer was born on 15th June 1969 in Queens, New York. She is an American TV Star and actress.

Born and raised in Queens, N.Y., Meyer studied dance throughout her childhood and loved performing on the stage in dance recitals. She knew she wanted to act from an early age and was even accepted into New York's High School of Performing Arts, but her parents convinced her to follow a more traditional academic path. She majored in Business Administration and minored in French at

Long Island University, and attended the Sorbonne in Paris. After graduation, however, she decided to pursue her acting again and studied under Ron Stetson.

Meyer made her film debut opposite Keanu Reeves in the action-thriller "Johnny Mnemonic." She went on to star with Dennis Quaid in the feature film "Dragonheart." Additional film credits include a starring role in "Starship Troopers" and "Bats", and a recurring role in the "Saw" franchise.

Television fans will recognize Meyer from her role on the Aaron Spelling phenomenon "Beverly Hills, 90210" where she played the adulterous professor Lucinda Nicholson, who had a torrid affair with Jason Priestley's character - a role that brought her to Los Angeles. She also had a three-episode arc on "Friends" as Joey's love interest. Already a favorite among science fiction fans, she starred as Barbara Gordon and her alter-ego, Oracle, in the short-lived series "Birds of Prey", which sparked an impressive campaign from its loyal fans to keep the show on the air. She also had a leading role on the late night drama "Point Pleasant". Other television credits include "Ally McBeal", the critically acclaimed Golden Globe Award-winning series "Six Feet Under", and appearances on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "CSI: Miami".

Meyer currently resides in Los Angeles.

This ravishingly beautiful auburn-haired player landed her first job in Forest Whitaker's made-for-cable film "Strapped" (HBO, 1993). Meyer gained the attention of the public in the recurring role of a professor's wife who falls for Jason Priestley's Brandon Walsh on the popular series "Beverly Hills, 90210" during the 1993-94 season. Meyer then segued to the big screen landing the leading female role of Jane, the computer-enhanced Amazonian hired to protect Keanu Reeves' courier "Johnny Mnemonic" (1995). While the film failed to excite audiences, Meyer acquitted herself and was tapped to star opposite Dennis Quaid in Rob Cohen's sword and sorcery epic "Dragonheart" (1996). Paul Verhoeven then tapped the novice for one of the leads in his sci-fi epic "Starship Troopers" (1997). Subsequently, the beauty displayed her comedic talents in the recurring role of Joey's actress-girlfriend in the NBC sitcom "Friends" in 1997. Two years later, Meyer co-starred as a no-nonsense government employee in the short-lived UPN series "Secret Agent Man" (2000).
