Demetric Evans life and biography

Demetric Evans finished his first season in San Francisco with 1.5 sacks as a part of an active defensive line rota­tion after serving as a consistent contributor on the Washington Redskins defense throughout the previous 5 years. A stout per­former against the run, Evans has also shown an ability to rush the passer. His most extensive action on the line occurred in 2008 when he started 11 games for the Redskins and posted a career-high 3.5 sacks. Evans has posted 225 tackles, 14.5 sacks and 3 FFs in 110 career games (23 starts).

•Played in 12 games with 8 starts at right defensive end, finishing season with 31 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
•Allocated to the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europa, where he posted 24 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

•Spent training camp with the Cowboys and was released prior to regular season.

•As a senior at Georgia, played in 11 games and totaled 32 tackles as a member of the Bulldogs senior class that finished with a 19-5 home record. Finished junior season with 30 tackles and 1 sack after totaling 19 tackles as a sophomore in 11 games. Played in 5 games as a true freshman, recording 2 tackles.

PERSONAL:
•Attended Haynesville (LA) HS, where he played both defensive and offensive line, leading team to three consecutive state titles. His high school jersey was retired in 2007.
•Named Louisiana High School Player of the Year after posting 75 tackles, 12 sacks and 28 TFLs as a senior.
•Launched his “92 Blessings” Foundation in 2008 (92blessings.com), which helps single parents for the holidays and those who cannot afford to have their children participate in extracurricular activities.
