David Lee (basketball) life and biography

David Lee is an American professional basketball power forward and center for the Golden State Warriors. He played college basketball at the University of Florida and was drafted in 2005 by the New York Knicks. In 2010, Lee was signed and traded to the Warriors.

2009-10 :
Appeared in 81 games (all starts), averaging 20.2 points 11.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.05 steals while shooting 54.5% from the field and 81.2% from the free throw line in 37.3 minutes ... Posted career-high averages in points, assists and blocks and career-high tying averages in rebounds and steals ... Was one of only three players in the NBA to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds (Zach Randolph and Chris Bosh were others) ... Ranked 4th in the NBA in rebounds (11.7) and 4th in double-doubles (53) ... Led the NBA in double-doubles with 65, becoming the first Knick to lead NBA in double-doubles since Patrick Ewing in 1996-97 ... Registered 24 consecutive double-doubles from January 14 thru March 4 (second longest streak in Knicks history) ... Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for week ending on February 1 ... His 11.7 rebounds per game was most by a Knick since Charles Oakley in 1993-94 (11.8) ... Scored 20-plus points 15 times and 30-plus points twice ... Recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds in same game 14 times ...
