In the heart of Encino, California, Dave Koz was born to Norman and Audrey, a duo of Jewish heritage with a passion for healing. Raised alongside his siblings, Jeff and Roberta, Dave's childhood was imbued with the sounds of saxophones and the warmth of familial love. Little did he know, these early melodies would lay the foundation for his extraordinary journey through the world of music.

As young Dave navigated the halls of William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, his soul found solace in the rhythms of the school jazz band.
