Dan Williams is an American football defensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee.

College Career:
Started 32 of 45 games for the Vols and recorded 160 tackles, seven sacks for minus-47 yards, 25 tackles for loss and 22 QB pressures … recovered one fumble, had a pass defensed and blocked a FG attempt … earned All-SEC first-team honors in ’09.

2009: Started all 13 games at right defensive end as a senior and recorded a career-high 70 tackles to lead all defensive linemen … added nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and nine QB pressures, earning AP All-SEC first-team honors … made 68 plays against the run during the season, stopping ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage nine times and stopping them for no gain five times … made 12 plays against the run inside the red zone, including two stops on goal-line stands … recorded a career-high nine tackles and two tackles for loss against Ole Miss and matched that number in his final collegiate game against Virginia Tech in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

2008: Appeared in 12 games with nine starts at right defensive tackle … led all defensive linemen with 48 tackles and added 1.5 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, and nine QB pressures while also adding one pass defensed … part of a Vols defense that ranked 10th in the nation in scoring defense (16.7 ppg) and third nationally in total defense (263.5 ypg) … joined Eric Berry as the only Tennessee defenders with at least three tackles in each game.

2007: After playing his freshman season at left defensive tackle, switched to right defensive tackle for his sophomore season and appeared in all 14 games (10 starts) … started seven of the season’s final eight games … finished seventh on the team with 40 tackles and added two sacks, 6.5 tackles for loss and three QB pressures while also recording the first FG block of his career at Kentucky … recorded one of three UT sacks in the Outback Bowl against Wisconsin.

2006: Saw action in six games at left defensive tackle as a freshman, including each of the final three contests … recorded two tackles, including a one-yard sack vs. Marshall … shared the Andy Spiva Award as the most improved player during spring drills.

2005: Redshirted as a freshman.
