Damion Marquez Williams James (born October 7, 1987 in Hobbs, New Mexico) is an American professional basketball player for the New Jersey Nets of the NBA.

Drafted by Atlanta in the first round (24th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft and then traded to New Jersey in exchange for Jordan Crawford and Tibor Pleiss.

James was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. His rights were traded to the New Jersey Nets for the rights of the 27th pick Jordan Crawford and the 31st pick Tibor Pleiss in the 2010 NBA draft. The Hawks then sold Pleiss' rights to the Oklahoma City Thunder. On December 9, 2010, James got his first career start against the Dallas Mavericks.

Holds Big 12 conference records for rebounds and double-doubles and school career records for games started and rebounds... Earned Third Team AP All-American accolades as a senior in 2009-10...
