A walk-on who joined the KU team in the spring 2010 semester... Will redshirt the 2010-11 season and be a freshman in 2011-12... Will add depth to the guard position... Is quick, has great length and can play both the point guard and No. 2 guard spots.

Played at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., in fall of 2010 before coming to Kansas... Averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 assists and 6.3 rebounds for coach Loren Jackson at IMG Academy... Spent his sophomore year at Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood, Calif., his junior season at Stone Ridge Prep in Tarzana, Calif., and finished his high school career at IMG Academy... Played for Belmont Shore AAU, which was the AAU program current Jayhawk Jeff Withey played for as well... Has two cousins who played professional sports as well -- Mike Garrett, who played football at USC and in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers and former New York Yankee great Chris Chambliss.
