Chester Taylor also known as "Che Tay" is an American football running back for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.

NFL Career:

In eight NFL seasons split between Baltimore (2002-05) and Minnesota (2006-09), ran for 4,396 yards on 1,028 carries (4.3 avg) to go along with 22 rushing TDs... Caught 265 passes for 2,094 yards (7.9 avg) and 6 TDs... One of just eight active NFL RBs to have 4,000+ career rushing yards and 2,000+ career receiving yards ... Since 2005, leads all NFL running backs in third-down receptions (87) and third-down receiving yards (815)... Also is tied for seventh in the NFL in receptions by RBs over that same time frame... Collected eight career 100-yard rushing games... Ranks 10th in Vikings team history in career rushing yards (2,797)... Owns Vikings longest (95-yard TD run at SEA, 10/22/06) and third-longest (84-yard TD run at SF, 12/9/07) runs in team history... 2008 - Rushed for 399 yards on 101 carries (4.0 avg) and 4 TDs, playing in all 16 games (1 start)... Set career highs in catches (45) and receiving yards (399), while matching his career high with 2 receiving TDs... Led all NFL RBs with 25 catches on third down, ranking 6th overall in the league... Threw the 1st TD pass of his career on a 4-yard toss to TE Visanthe Shiancoe at NO (10/6)...Returned 10 kickoffs for 234 yards (23.4 avg)... Ran 12 times for 48 yards (4.0 avg) in playoff loss vs. PHI.

2007 - Played in 14 games, making 8 starts... Ran for 844 yards on 157 carries ( a career-high 5.4 avg) and a career-high 7 TDs... Caught 29 passes for 281 yards (9.7 avg)... Teamed with Adrian Peterson to set the Vikings record for rushing yards by a duo with 2,185 yards (1,341 by Peterson, 844 by Taylor)... 2006 - In his first season in Minnesota, posted the sixth-best single-season rushing mark in Vikings history with 1,214 yards rushing on 303 carries (4.0 avg) and 6 TDs... Caught 42 passes for 288 yards (6.9 avg)... Voted 2006 Vikings Offensive MVP by teammates... His 303 rushing attempts set the Vikings franchise record but has since been surpassed by Adrian Peterson... Set Vikings record with 9 games of 20+ carries... Ran for career-high 169 rushing yards at SEA (10/22)... Broke the 100-yard mark 4 times during the season... Missed only game of the season at DET (12/10) with a rib injury.

2005 - Carried the ball 117 times for 487 yards (4.2 avg)... Collected 41 receptions - the 4th-most among AFC RBs - for 292 yards (7.1 avg) and 1 TD... Ranked sixth on team with 13 special teams tackles... Returned 12 kickoffs for 253 yards (21.1 avg).

2004 - Played in all 16 games, making 4 starts... Rushed for 714 yards on 160 carries (4.5 avg) and 2 TDs... Caught 30 passes for 184 yards (6.1 avg)... Collected two 100-yard rushing games.

2003 - Saw action in all 16 games, making 1 start at FB... Ran 63 times for 276 yards (4.4 avg) and 2 TDs... Caught 20 passes for 132 yards (6.6 avg)... Scored first career rushing TD at CIN (10/19)... Appeared in his first career playoff game.
