Chester Pitts II is an American football offensive lineman, currently an Offensive Guard for the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at San Diego State University. Pitts was the focus of the NFL SuperAd commercial shown during Super Bowl XLII relating the story of how his career began.

Signed with Seattle as an unrestricted free agent on July 29, 2010.

NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

* Originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round (50th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft.
* Started 114 consecutive games before suffering a season- ending knee injury in 2009.
* Became only player to start the first 100 games as a Texan in 2008.
* Helped pave way for Steve Slaton, who set a Texans’ franchise record with 1,282 rushing yards in 2008.
* Started first two seasons at left tackle (2002-03) before moving to left guard in 2004.

HONORS:
2003-04: USA Today All-Joe Team

COLLEGE:

Didn’t play football until he walked on at San Diego State. Allowed just one sack in two seasons as Aztecs’ starting left tackle. Started all 11 games in 2001 and did not allow a sack while registering 108 knockdowns. Earned First-Team All-Mountain West Conference honors and Third-Team All-America accolades. Majored in public administration.

PERSONAL:

Attended California Academy for Math and Science in Los Angeles, which doesn’t have a football team. Lettered in track, earning all-league honors and set- ting school records in the shot put and discus. Born Chester Morise Pitts II in Carson, Calif.
