She is the daughter of Mike and Lynette Wittstock.
As a Olympic swimmer Wittstock has participated in several competitions and won many national titles over the years, got the fifth place at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Also took part at the 2002 FINA Short Course World Championships for the 200 m breaststroke, swam for University of Pretoria. In 2007, Wittstock recovered her title as South Africa’s 50 m women’s backstroke champion after completed the 50 m backstroke final at the Telkom SA National Aquatic Championships.
She wanted to attend the 2008 Olympic games in China and expressed once she would be swimming in Europe.
