Chad Henne life and biography

A tough, gritty player, Chad said he received his no nonsense approach from his father, Sheldon. Chad looked up to him and developed his work ethic watching his father work two full-time jobs as both a welder and as a high school and junior high school football coach in Hamburg, Pa. Chad said he remembers accompanying his father to work and watching Sheldon battle the intense heat and sparks as he embraced his blue-collar job. The images of his father coming home with burns all over his face and hands still resonate with Chad today, which is why he is considered so durable and he never complains about being in pain or playing in the cold or the heat.

At the time, his 349 yards passing was his single-game career high ... It also was his second 300-yard passing game this season and in his career.

AT JACKSONVILLE (DEC. 13): On Dec. 13th at Jacksonville was 21-29 for 220 yards with no touchdowns and one interception ... Also had four rushes for one yard and one touchdown, coming on a one-yard run ... It was his first career rushing touchdown ... AT NEW ENGLAND (NOV. 8): On Nov. 8th at New England was 19-34 for 219 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

AT N.Y. JETS (NOV. 1): Making his first career NFL start on the road, Henne was 12-21 for 112 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Miami's 30-25 win ... His touchdown pass was a five yard TD toss to Joey Haynos with 8:48 left in the game to give the Dolphins their finals points in that contest.

VS. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (OCT. 25): On Oct. 25th vs. New Orleans went 18-36 for 211 yards with no touchdown and two interceptions ... Connected on a 67-yard pass to Brian Hartline, at the time the longest pass completion of his career.

VS. N.Y. JETS (OCT. 12): On Oct. 12th vs. N.Y. Jets Henne was 20-26 for 241 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for a rating of 130.4 in Miami's 31-27 comeback win ... His touchdown passes came on a two-yard TD pass to Anthony Fasano and a 53-yard TD pass to Ted Ginn ... It was Henne's first career game of two or more touchdown passes ... In addition to his 53-yard pass to Ginn, Henne had a 59-yard completion to Ricky Williams, at the time the longest completion of Henne's career ... Henne's rating of 130.4 was the highest by a Dolphin quarterback since Jay Fiedler had a rating of 154.8 (13-17 for 203 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions) on Oct. 24, 2004 vs. St. Louis ...
