Davis' Career
Davis comes into 2010 looking to build on a strong showing in the '09 regular season finale. As a rookie, he showed he had the moxie to play in the NFL. Davis started his first-ever game on NBC's Sunday Night Football against the New England Patriots and a week later he caught his first NFL touchdown pass at Green Bay's Lambeau Field. Davis experienced a number of highs and lows while in college. The highs include a National Championship as a frosh in '03, while the lows include the destruction and devastation that ravaged the South when Hurricane Katrina hit just before his junior season was set to begin in '05.
Fourteen of Davis' family members stayed in his Baton Rouge apartment as their New Orleans homes were either badly damaged or destroyed by the hurricane. Following the devastation, Davis lent his time to the relief effort, unloading trucks and helping collect clothing donations. As things began to return to normal, Davis spent the summer before his senior season at LSU working with Peyton and Eli Manning at the annual Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Davis’ hobbies include fishing, baseball, video games and watching old war movies.
