TRANSACTIONS
Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Atlanta Falcons on May 16, 2006. Re-signed by the Falcons on January 10, 2007 and was allocated to the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europa. Signed to the Falcons practice squad following training camp. Was activated to the 53-man roster on October 29, but was waived and signed back to the practice squad on November 6. Elevated to Atlanta's 53-man roster on December 17, 2007.

CAREER

In three seasons with the Falcons, has totaled 114 tackles (97 solo), seven interceptions, one fumble recovery and 19 passes defensed. Led the Falcons in interceptions with six in 2009.

2009 (FALCONS)
In 16 games (eight starts), recorded his best statistical season, finishing with 67 tackles (58 solo), a team-leading six interceptions, one fumble recovery and 13 passes defensed. Collared five tackles, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery at Dallas (10/25). Registered eight tackles, one interception and two passes defensed at New Orleans (11/2). Logged six tackles, two passes defensed and one interception at the New York Giants (11/22) while contributing with three special teams tackles. Notched six tackles, two passes defensed and a career-high two interceptions at the New York Jets (12/20). Totaled a season-high nine tackles with one interception and one pass defensed against Buffalo (12/27). Registered his team-leading sixth interception of the season, which was also his fourth in the final three games of the season at Tampa Bay (1/3).

2008 (FALCONS)
Saw action in 12 games, starting in six and contributed with 36 tackles (29 solo), six passes defensed and his first career interception. Started his first NFL game at left cornerback vs. Detroit (9/7) and posted six tackles. Tallied four tackles, two passes defensed and his first career interception vs. Kansas City (9/21). Logged a season-high 11 tackles and one pass defensed at Carolina (9/28).

2007 (FALCONS)
Spent the majority of the season on the Falcons practice squad before competing in the final two games of the season. Led the team in tackles with 11 in his NFL debut at Arizona (12/23).

COLLEGE

Played in 43 games for the Shippensburg Red Raiders and amassed 140 tackles in addition to setting school records with 38 career passes defensed and 27 interceptions, which was also a conference record. Holds the Shippensburg all-time mark with 82 punt returns for 1,126 yards and ranks fourth all-time in school annals with 1,183 yards on 45 kickoff returns with three returns for touchdowns. Earned first-team All-America honors as a junior and senior in addition to being named to the second-team as a sophomore.

PERSONAL

A standout defensive back and running back at Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pa. Born Brent Omar Grimes on July 19, 1983 in Philadelphia.
